Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule please allow 48 hours prior to appointment. Please note that cancellations or none attendance will result in loss of your fee. Once consent has been given, the parent/ guardian should not assume that they will be informed about the content of the counselling sessions. The young person’s wishes regarding this should be respected. The exception to this would be that if I the counsellor believed the young person to be in immediate danger or a high suicide risk or there were other serious risks to their health and wellbeing. Sessions will begin and end at agreed times. Sessions that start late will still be expected to finish on time. I the consenting adult take responsibility for informing any other parent with parental responsibility that the young person has commenced counselling. I confirm that there is no court order requiring any other party to be consulted about the young person accessing this counselling service. It is with the mutual agreement of myself the young person’s parents/ guardians and Carlie Titmus Counsellor/Therapist that she cannot guarantee a particular therapeutic outcome. As the consenting adult I understand that therapy sessions may bring up distressing feelings, memories and events and that in her experience counselling/therapy may be helpful. I understand that if Carlie Titmus feels that the young person being counselled were to become a danger risk to themselves or to others or place others at risk then she will notify a third party. I am giving consent for the young person stated above to undertake therapy and accept full responsibility for the outcome of the counselling and psychotherapy sessions.
